29th Cholet-Pays De Loire - 1.1
Sunday, March 19th, 2006SCREWED in the results! I placed a few spots in front of Chad Hartley, but I guess they did not notice that?
Suffered a ton today, only to have a some guy grab a handful of brake in the last 500 meters, which cause me to brake for dear life, loose speed, then attempt to salvage my sprint. The front 10ish guys totally made it through clean, but Chad and I had to dive left and right. WOW, 200 km race! My confidence is much higher after finishing this race and KNOWING that WE can WIN! I am going to do my best to make it happen for the team!
What was even crazyier was looking over my shoulder and noticing Frank Vandenbroucke close to me on the climb? Pretty crazy
Spain
Wednesday, March 15th, 2006Kicking it here in Spain is amazing. The apartment that I am sharing with Creed is great. We are just a few meters from this huge cathedral were Creed asked Amy to marry him. There is an amazing network of rock/cobble streets leading up to our apartment. WOW! This place is amazing. In just about 15 minutes we can be out of town and on some country roads that are not heavily driven and perfect for training. We will only be staying here for one more night before heading up to Northern France to race in two single day races and start the Tour of Normandie! I realy pray that in the coming week I am able to regain my form and health.
Hasta Luego.

But you knew this day was coming!
100km crit, Team pursuit, and Creed KISSED ME?
Sunday, March 12th, 2006Well the Team Pursuit has increased in technical ability ability a ton, but our power is a little of…..well except for the “MEATBALL” Mike Friedman who has turned into to the #1 Track Rider in USA in just a few months. Meatball rode a Individual Pursuit time that would have placed him 5th at WORLDS this year. UNREAL, one can not really comprehend just how fast Meatball is going, unless they have done the some type of race.
Mike Friedman!
So I feel like totally POO, but I am really coming out of my funk. It has been really horriable for me personally since getting dropped at TOC…..blah blah blah just rough. Feeling better as each day comes though.
Then we headed over to a local 100km crit just 10 minutes from the Velodrome, I say the famous Renee Eastman as she worked over the womens race, but took 3rd, and then was sticking it to the cat 3 men not too long after her womens race. BUT the really kicker is the for some reason Mike Creed kissed me? That is all I have to say about that. Maybe I will find the picture later?
Metal note: Never enter a 100km crit just 2 hrs after completely blowing up in a Team Pursuit. oh that crit sucked. But we won: Bahati 1st in a break of 3, then Taylor T 5th, Me 7th, and Lucas 9th in our break of 6.
I love Mat Ankney!
Friday, March 10th, 2006I bought these Van shoes to be more like Mat Ankney, but that is totally IMPOSSIBLE for a guy like me. I am way too fat.

oh this is going to hurt
Thursday, March 9th, 2006Manana Individual Pursuit, followed by Team Pursuit and 3km death test on Saturday. Oh this is going to hurt.
Velodrome again
Wednesday, March 8th, 2006Back out to LA this past Monday to start up another lovely week of track bike riding. All the guys state that Friedman and I LOVE the velodrome? I beg to differ. Friedman and I have just been able to accelerate our careers thanks to racing on the track. Melissa reminds me of this statement, “I am going to win a National Championship no matter what!” To me that meant that I was going to expand my racing to include not just road, but track and dear god thankful it did not come to this Cyclocross. Cyclocross is just so damn hard. Actually the level in death goes, Track, Cyclocross, Road, then MTB.
