Frequent-flyer Infrequent-Rider & ??650??

Friday, June 30th, 2006

Last week I few on 3 red eye, crack of the morning flights, slept 3hrs the night before flying back to Missouri, intermixed into all of this was a cancelled Madison Cup at the Leigh Valley Velodrome, 2hr night Crit in Rodchester, NY, and a local crit win my first day back in Missouri? Then this week Melissa Cox and I drove out to Colorado Springs, CO, then I jumped on a flight back to T-Town to race the cancelled Madison…only to have it cancelled half way through the night due to rain, and now I am jumping back on a red eye flight to get back to Colorado so that I can be in my best friends wedding! Wow the last 2 weeks I have travelled soooooo much and slept sooooo little. I am looking forward to moving in to my new place at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO and settling down for a while.
?Why does 650 have such a hard on to cause trouble in T-Town? ?Why has 650 brain washed so many good people? ?Does 650 have a secret crush on Meatball? ?Does 650 really think that it is ok to state false accusations about good-clean riders? ?Has 650 tricked it’s own mind into thinking thou are the all mighty? ?Who is this 650 individual anyways and why, why, WHY, WHY?

Banana???Chamois Cream???

Friday, June 23rd, 2006

Only Mike Friedman would think of putting a smashed banana down his pants to relieve his problems?  I tell you that when I heard him tell me that he put a banana down his pants in the middle of his training ride I nearly cryied I was laughing so hard.  True story, true story!  Actually the even funnier part was when he stated that 5 minutes later he had to pull off into the woods, pull his shorts down, take his water bottle and hose off the banana, because it was burning him sooooo bad.  He also once tried a kiwi!
Mike and I are out in T-Town for the Madison Cup event, but I think that it is going to be rained out.

well dad (Aaron Inch)…..

Monday, June 19th, 2006

“why did you quit the race dad?” son states (in refrence to Missouri State Road Race).  “well son it was really hot and I just couldn’t go anymore” dad states.  “well dad T-Ball was really hot today and I didn’t quit!” son states and shuts dad up quickly.  Thanks Arron Inch for the great humor at the start of Winghaven Circuit race last Sunday.
Winghaven was my first race back on my local turf and I will say that it was great!  I really enjoyed the race, even though I blew snot and spit all over myself.

Thanks for all the support

Philly?

Saturday, June 10th, 2006

Tomorrow is the famous Philly here in the states, but I am not sure if I am going to be racing it?  The decision will be up to our director JV.  I have had a rough time after my ride at CSC, sickness, achilles/knee problems, wrong size cranks (175?), just overall fatigue.  The good thing is that I am feeling better and finding out that I have been riding the wrong length cranks for the past 2 weeks has made the feel better about my injury status.  New cranks - achilles pain - knee pain = happier Brad.

Amish Rush Hour

Tuesday, June 6th, 2006

Training the last few days has been quite interesting.  The country side here in Lancaster, PA is amazing.  Such rolling terrain and amazing roads that link through the maze of the country side.  What is even better is the amount of Amish families in the area.  We have encountered an Amish Rush Hour, even with a near horse to buggie rear ending.  Every time we head out for a ride a see more and more old Amish Farm culture.  Horse drawn plows, buggies, clothes lines, chicken coops, barns, draft horses, and the sweet Amish next beards.
oh ya, my legs hurt?
