rise and shine in the morning at Bank of America
There is nothing more I enjoy than waking after less than 2hrs of sleep to the beautiful site of Meatball’s destroyed “Nacho” oh that was sweet, let me tell you. Bank of America crit did not go so well for us, even though we did have one of the fastest sprints in the winning break, but with just 3 laps to go Rashaan decided to ride of a metal grate (oh ya, it had been raining since 12 laps to go). Needless to say it was not a pretty site when the front group rode by him head first into a metal barrier…..ouch? I pretty much played it safe and did not attempt any stupid maneuvers due to the hazardous conditions and limped in at 13th. I will say that I pretty tapped by that point in the race.
Then on 2hrs of sleep I drove up to the Bannock Criterium in Downtown Denver and helped drive the winning break of 4 riders….no I did not win, but one of our Juniors Alex Howes was able to come in a close 2nd…right behind Greg Henderson thanks to some great team work! Then to top off the evening I had dinner at http://www.table6denver.com/ with Vaughters and Dan Brogan of 5280 Magazine and a few other key people! Like Eric and Beth Seliga’s old OLD father and Eric’s sister. Eric’s dad was Oldie Oldson, I think he drank 2 beers, a couple cig’s, and maybe 200 calories of food. Then he starts talking about what f’ing pisses him off, how you do not what him to see his temper explode, and, and, and……man what else do you think you can do?????you are about to pass-out just sitting in that chair for heavens sake?
