I followed Theo Bos’s line?
Well even if you follow the line taken by the best in the world it doesn’t mean that you will ride close to their time? In just a 50 meter flying sprint effort, Theo put about 1 second into me! Seriously, he was on pace for a 9.9….or at least that is what Des stated? I was more like 11.1 or slower?
Ya that guy is fast!
But I will go for it tomorrow in the Omnium? Ben Kirsten I am watching you!

I can see where people do well in their specialty, sprints or endurance — but it’s the points race, at the end of your event schedule that will break ties? I am not sure of the points breakdown for each event.. will check www.uci.ch for specifics… Sounds like a Friday nite at many tracks here… or how collegiate nats ends up with some fantastic points races (women especially!!)… endurance — being stronger at the end has a bigger bang for the buck.
whatever… I don’t mean to distract…. just know we’re watching & cheering for you guys. Hope that gives you some benefit.

My prayer today for you…
“A Prayer for Today”
This is the begining of a new day. God has given me this day to use as I will…. I can waste it — or, use it for good, but what I do today is important, because I am exchanging a day of my life for it!!
When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever, leaving in it’s place something that I have traded for it. I want it to be gain, and not loss; good and not evil; success and not failure; in order that I shall not regret the price I have paid for it.

I used to live in Springfield and became a bike racer way back in 1979. Yeah, imagine Springfieldians reaction to cycling shorts, shoes and shaved male legs in 1979 — like I had just arrived from Mars! Anyway, I just found out that there was a guy on Vaughter’s squad from Fair Grove of all places. I used to ride to Fair Grove for training rides. I hope everyone there is proud of you — or at least doesn’t run you off the roads. It’s pretty cool that Springfield has someone after John Howard. I promise to be a fan.
I have one piece of advice for anyone into bicycle racing who lives in Springfield though: Move away from Springfield as quickly as possible!!! I hear Colorado is nice.

Brad,
Didn’t have your email. Thought I could reach you here. I’m coming to Girona March 31st and staying for a few days. Allen Lim says you guys will be around after April 1st. Let’s get together and ride (recovery) or I’ll buy you and Danny and Taylor etc lunch or dinner some time. I’m staying at the Hotel Historic. I’ve got the number of your apartment. Will call when I get in, email me or leave a message at Historic.
Best Wishes, Zach Zachowski Oakland California
