Not so fast…
Made it to the final of the scratch race tonight, but was missing that extra bit of power to really make the race. So I held on for dear life, got gapped off when the accelerations came, used my super sonic thoughts of prayer to weld the pack to pull up track so I could get back on, then with 8 laps to go I watch Kam-Pow Wong from China (sorry and thanks Tosh) do the race winning move, so I attempted to give it a go since the pack swung up track shortly after, but 3 to go is a little long for a guy that had been barely holding on, so I was caught inside 2 to go, but I did miss a HUGE crash, then was nearly taken out as the pack sprinted past me, saved it, to be quickly spit out the back and finish almost last on the track….besides the 8 guys laying on the wood.
How do I feel about tonight? Well I do not need to answer that.
Thanks for keeping tabs on me and my suffering.
OH bye the way Sarah Hammer is a SUPER STAR! Congrats to Sarah and Andy for making it happen against all odds.

Wow, Wong got the title…. He is a smart & strong one, but I didn’t expect actually he would make it.
Anyway, Kam-Pow is from “Hong Kong (China),” Brad!!

Just to know you did not get down in a bad one is a reflection on your ability! Reload , and look forward to your next test.

It may not be exactly the same suffering… but we’re sweatin bullets all while on pins & needles as you make your way thru the week. That & losing our voices from screaming loud (not sure you can hear it all the way across the pond).
Thanks for keeping us in the loop.

Wong Kam-Po definitely deserved to win, I don’t think he would have been caught even w/ out the crash. When I was over in Asia that guy was motoring BIG time in his 53×11 when I was trying to hold his wheel - almost like a German Diesel
