GP de la Ville de Rennes - 1.1
ya…not so great.
My power just wasn’t there and just felt lactic at the slightest hint of a hill, acceleration, cross wind, or just about anything. So I was dropped at least 8 times before the feed zone, then just prior to the feed zone at 100km I was totally done. While at the same time our team rode amazingly, helping chase, following moves, and finishing strong in the main group. I am amazed at the overall power and ability of this team as a whole.
The plan was to race me in Circuit de la Sarthe, but after my dismal performance at Rennes I felt that the team was better off with a stronger rider in my place. Ya that was tough to swallow, but I know that I am just not there as of now.

Proof that you’re human and not a machine. I think it’s easier to go from road to track than vice versa. Remember it’s only APRIL… October is still a ways off. Lotsa racin still left to do. Kenny wishes you were her for Brad Lewis Memorial Boatstreet crit.

Brad, your buddy, bilko, knows what he’s talking about!! After the spring you’ve had, give yourself a break! You’d been sick, and you still got a Bronze medal! Your legs will come back, and so will that engine you’ve got inside of you!!

Brad, Michael’s injuries affected you, as well. Frequent dialogue you share is encouragement but better in person. You’re spirit has taken a blow; find a way to renew it.

Brad, are you living at the “Y”? Will Frischhorn, wrote about it on his rider’s diary on VeloNews, and I figured you were one of the SEVEN guys staying at the apartment! But Girona sounds really neat….
