TOM UPDATE

I am some how ok. Very sore and stiff, but very thankful that I said a few prayers in the closing kilometers of the race.
More update later.

So glad that you weren’t hurt worst. Everyone here in the state of Missouri is so proud of our home grown Hero. My heart stopped beating for a second til I saw you get back up. What a trooper. Hope your stiffness works out soon and you are back to your orginal form in no time.
    Best Wishes!

there’s one thing I’ve always said….”if you’re going to eat shit, better to not waste it alone.”

WOW! pezcyclingnews.com has the photos just to prove how far a Felt can bounce! Shiiizaaa!! Gymnastics is not your forte.

Seeing you going straight down on your head is a little hard to take! I know, “that’s bike racing”….but it scares me to death! I’ve got to check out the pics on pez to see the Felt bounce…..

Brad, here is the pic of you hitting the barrier, the next few show your bike in the air. Best of luck on your recovery and finding a new team. We were pulling for you to get the stage win.

I don’t know if you have seen it yet but in Monday’s News-Leader there is a picture of you sliding on your head with your feet up in the air….

  8. Theresa Says:

Ya know, Brad, you haven’t picked the easiest way to make a living or be sucessful. You’ve chosen to do things the hard way, you have to have luck, a strong inner drive to train, and hurt, and push yourself thru pain and suffering in ways the average person doesn’t chose to do. There are a million chances to fail, but not lose your faith in yourself. And very few chances to shine and bask in glory. You have accomplished feats that also show a God-given talent and good genetics. After scaring you and us on Sunday; I want you to know, that I do realize what you have at stake, even though I’ve never lived that close to the edge. I try to remember how quickly it can all end; and how hard you work every day to make it. And I respect you even more for pushing yourself that hard. Sorry for getting all sentimental, but I just had to let you know how very proud I am of you.

    BRad-

i have to give you full props for the TdM rides. it was pretty insane to see the level of support for you in your home state, i saw the ‘I heart Brad’ shirts everywhere. sorry that we did not get more time to catch up[other than the odd heckle in the hallway], but i realize that you had the lady in town, the fan club to entertain, and stages to win.

keep plugging, as i said in my cyclingnews.com entry, your biggest victories are yet to come. i cant think of a more deserving guy. see you on the road.

Brad, I’m ready to be patient as you find your place for 2008. But a couple of questions….are you going to IBike?? Cathy Mehl, who wrote for Paceline this year is going to be there; I’d love for her to interview you!! If you say you are going to be there, I’ll let her know! She writes great, and loves cyclists!
And second, when do you start riding track again?? I admit, I’m clueless about the season, and MO has how many velodromes???? Was that ONE???
Neal Rogers did a great interview with you in St Louis, you sounded confident, and ready for your next goal.
